Goals & Positions

 

Goals:

Ø       Produce short video ~ 15 -20 minutes to show at conferences and demonstrations

Ø       Produce shorter streaming video ~ 3-1/2 minutes for use on webpage

 

Positions:

 

Producer(s):

Ø       Schedules team meetings

Ø       Maintains content outline and storyboard

Ø       Writes initial script

Ø       Responsible for credits

 

Editor(s):

Ø       Edits and compiles videos, photos, graphics, special effects, narration and music

Ø       Selects background music

 

Head Videographer:

Ø       Responsible for camcorder training

Ø       Responsible for establishing operational rules

Ø       Responsible for video assignments

Ø       Responsible for shot logistics; equipment & personnel

Ø       Responsible for video clips submitted to development team

 

Videographers:

Ø       Responsible for videos assigned

 

Head Photographer:

Ø       Responsible for establishing operational rules

Ø       Responsible for photo assignments

Ø       Responsible for submitting photos to development team

 

Photographers:

Ø       Responsible for photos assigned

Ø       Responsible for photo touch-ups

 

Graphics Artist:

Ø       Responsible for graphics; slides, maps, etc.

 

Subject Matter Experts:

Ø       Help develop content outline (categories, shot requirements, shot sequencing, media types, durations, schedule, etc.)

Ø       Review content outline and storyboard

Ø       Advise on style (program treatment

Ø       Revise script

Ø       Provide location support (expertise) for videos/photos

Ø       Review draft videos and photos

Ø       Review draft video production

 

Narrator:

Ø       Narrates video to script within frame durations assigned.

Ø       Must have a good narration voice and be more than unusually patient.
