The Health Information Technology System (HITS) is an innovative approach for promoting healthy environments that integrates, connects and delivers virtual products to US Army Soldiers that are geographically and demographically dispersed, specifically those in the Army Reserve and National Guard. One component of this system is HOOAH 4 HEALTH (H4H), an interactive web-based health information and disease prevention technology system that supports Soldiers and their families as they assume self-responsibility for their health and fitness for duty. Active duty service members, other military services, and civilians, both inside and outside of Department of Defense, also use the H4H web site extensively. H4H is used to deliver information and educational materials in the areas of physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental/occupational health.
