| Beach Clean-Up Series | Regularly scheduled efforts to remove shoreline debris and plastics from the 6 miles of pristine Atlantic beach. | Hands-on debris collection; recording data on types of waste found to support conservation research. |
| Trail Maintenance Days | Ongoing projects to maintain and clear the 15+ miles of hiking and biking trails, especially after storms or high winds. | Clearing brush, repairing trail markers, and ensuring the maritime forest remains accessible to visitors. |
| Blue Goose Tram Tours | Guided wildlife and history tours through Back Bay NWR and into the heart of False Cape. | Assisting park staff with guest management, sharing historical facts about Wash Woods, or spotting wildlife. |
| False Cape After Dark | Special night hikes and educational programs that explore the park’s nocturnal ecosystem. | Leading groups safely through trails, assisting with stargazing equipment, and educational storytelling. |
| Sunset Beachcombing | Interpretive beach walks to identify shells, marine life, and coastal treasures washed ashore. | Helping children and visitors identify specimens and promoting “leave no trace” ethics. |
| Interpretive Kayak Tours | Seasonal guided tours through the marshes and Back Bay. | Experienced paddlers can assist as safety leads or help transport and launch kayaks for the public. |
| Wash Woods Restoration | Preservation projects focused on the historic Wash Woods church and cemetery site. | Light landscaping, site cleaning, and helping to share the cultural history of the community that once lived there. |
| Visitor Center Support | Staffing the Barbour Hill Contact Station or the park’s northern entry points. | Greet visitors, provide maps/directions, and assist in communicating park safety regulations and needs. |
