Fall Cabin Maintenance & Orientation Trip

The TATC has a stone cabin that comfortably accommodates twelve people inside and has tent sites for others. The requirements to rent the cabin are: 1. Have attended a maintenance and orientation trip, and 2. Be a current club member. Join Gregory Hodges to do some maintenance and get qualified to rent the cabin.

Maintenance activities include: replacing screens in windows, cleaning chimney, inventorying non-perishable food cupboard, organizing dishes and silverware, season cast iron pans, wash windows, weed whack with a sling blade, and small maintenance items. Please bring safety glasses and work gloves or use the ones provided at the cabin.

Maintenance activities are usually complete in time to leave an opportunity to do a local hike, cook a few meals, and to rest & relax. Greg may head to the cabin on Thursday and participants are welcome to join.
